Brookwood provided Development and Program Management services for the first three buildings in a planned 46-acre satellite campus for the Georgia Institute of Technology in Savannah, designed to serve students from Georgia’s coastal region pursuing careers.

Two of the buildings featured general physical and computer laboratories, interactive and regular classrooms, incubator spaces and faculty offices and occupy 97,000 square feet on an adjacent, 9.4-acre parcel. The third facility is 17,500 square feet and contains structural and computer laboratories, interactive classrooms, laboratory managers and faculty offices.

The campus is also home to the region’s Enterprise Innovation Institute’s office for the Advanced Technology Development Center (atdc), Georgia Tech Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP), and the Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center (gtpac). In addition, the Savannah campus serves as location for the Center of Innovation for Logistics.

Savannah-based Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation partnered with Georgia Tech to lease the second facility in a unique collaboration for developing new research and new courses.
