The Marcus Nanotechnology Building is the headquarters for the Institute of Electronics and Nanotechnology, one of Georgia Tech’s Interdisciplinary Research Institutes. The building houses the largest clean room laboratory dedicated to the fabrication, characterization, and assembly of biomedical and semiconductor devices in the Southeast United States.

Brookwood, in a joint venture with Hunt Construction Company, provided program management support services including design review, project cost estimating, protocol development and oversight, and commissioning.

Located on Georgia Tech’s campus at the corner of Ferst Drive and Atlantic Drive, the 188,000 square foot research building supports education, research and economic development in the areas of microelectronics, semi-conductors, materials, medicine, and pharmaceuticals. At the time of implementation the building quadrupled clean room space on campus, providing a super-clean research environment critical to research and instruction.

The center is the most advanced nanotechnology facility in the Southeast and the first of its kind in the region.
