Brett Keeler

Brett M. Keeler is a Brookwood Consultant and he also is the owner of San Francisco based Maverick Development (maverickredevelopment.com). He is a real estate project professional with 14 years of experience as a representative for real estate owners and developers, particularly in the hospitality sector. He is accomplished at managing architectural/engineering design teams, entitlements/approvals, community engagement, site acquisitions, and project cost reviews.

He recently served as the Owner's Representative for Bridge Investment Group, completing the development of innovative multi-family projects at 361 Turk Street and 145 Leavenworth Street in San Francisco.

Upon graduation in 2010 from the University of Virginia with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business product development, Brett started his career as a General Contractor in Manhattan from a construction “boots on the ground” perspective to begin learning about the development industry.

Brett relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2013 to continue learning about the development industry as a General Contractor for two major projects: a campus wide retrofit of the entire water supply system at Stanford University; and the construction of the 42-story high rise at 399 Fremont Street in San Francisco.

Since 2015, Brett has worked as an Owner’s Representative / Developer Manager for Multi-Family and Hospitality projects, including:

Pre-construction services for three proposed new residential highrises at the 150-acre Parkmerced property for Maximus Real Estate Partners

  • A global expansion of the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand for North, Central, and South America

  • Full-scale renovation of the former St. Regis Princeville Resort into the 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay flagship along the north coast of Kauai, Hawaii

  • Full-scale renovation of the Sir Francis Drake Hotel into the Beacon Grand Hotel, 450 Powell Street in the Union Square area of San Francisco, California

  • Ground-up construction of a Kimpton Hotel in Pacific Grove in California's Monterrey Peninsula
