Keeping Teachers in Communities
/Former Pacifica City Council Member Mike O’Neill wrote an op-ed for the San Mateo Daily Journal, endorsing the extraordinary measures being taken in California school districts to accommodate the affordability crisis for teachers, notably in the San Francisco Bay Area.
O’Neill references three Brookwood clients, Jefferson High School District, Pacifica School District, and Cabrillo Unified School District, and notes that these expenditures will have long-lasting effects on recruitment and retention of educators, saying “These are all real, successful solutions that demonstrate what communities can achieve when they work together.”
